Photos of Roger Billings Commissioning as Team Rector by Bishop Colin, 14 July 2003

Parish of St Britius, Brize Norton & St John the Evangelist, Carterton¤

On 1 June 2003 the parishes of Brize Norton and Carterton were united under a team ministry led by Revd Roger Billings. The parish of Minster Lovell was separated from Brize Norton under Fr Adrian Gabb-Jones.

Roger Billings our Team Rector wrote:

“I am very pleased to be part of the new Team of St Britius, Brize Norton and St John the Evangelist, Carterton from 1st June. We hope to appoint a team vicar to join the team by the end of the year who together with myself and my colleague Andrew Tweedy will do our best to serve the new parish.

Please get in touch with me if there is anything you would like to say about the new team and for any contact regarding baptisms, weddings, funerals and other general enquiries.

I shall be at St Britius every Sunday morning and warmly invite you to join with me, and the fellowship, as we worship God and learn and grow together.”

Roger Billings can be reached by phone on 846996 or by email RKBCAR@tinyonline.co.uk

On 28 October 2003 our new team vicar, Rev'd Roy Turner was installed by Bishop Colin of Dorchester in St Britius Church.  This service also saw the installation of Rev'd Roger Billings at the Rural Dean for Witney.
